Who is Birth Connections?
Melissa Cassells CD(DONA) CCCE
I am the proud mother of three beautiful girls and married to a wonderful husband. I have always been interested in childbirth and it was after the birth of my first niece (14 years ago!!) that I knew this is what I wanted to do with my life. I am a Certified Labour Doula (DONA) and a CAPPA Certified Childbirth Educator. I also provide volunteer breastfeeding assistance with the Halton Breastfeeding Connection. It is my goal to help all expecting families to have the birth and postpartum experience that they dream of! I am there to support the entire family, and to help them have a happy and positive birth experience.
Deanna Burns CD(DONA)
I am a Certified Labour & Birth Doula (DONA). I became a doula after my experience at the birth of my daughter; how it reminded me how important it is for women to educate and inform themselves about options for their birth. I see my role as a doula as one of support, education and advocacy, helping women attain the birth experience she hopes for. Being a mother of 2 beautiful girls and being a Child and Youth Worker also helps me in supporting families as a postpartum doula.
